Canyon Casino Black Hawk Closing Today
Colorado casinos are closing their table games in response to new COVID-19 restrictions implemented by the state government.
According to a CBS Denver report, local officials raised the COVID-19 concern level to “Yellow” on the color dial. In response to the new level, casinos in Black Hawk and Central City will no longer provide blackjack, poker, roulette and craps will be prohibited until the threat level is reduced. Only slot machine gambling will be allowed for the time being.

Capacity will also be limited to 100 people and alcohol is prohibited from being sold after 11 p.m. The new restrictions began this morning.
“We are sad to say that starting this Friday at 8 a.m. we must close table games in order to comply with the Gilpin County guidance in connection with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on increased operational restrictions,” The Lodge Casino posted online.
While Colorado is implementing strict new measures, other casinos around the country are actually temporarily closing in response to a recent spike in cases.
Canyon Casino Black Hawk Closed
The Northern Arapaho Business Council announced that it will close its Wyoming-based casinos until at least Dec. 1. The tribe said that there will be no layoffs or furloughs in the interim.
The St. Croix Chippewa Indians announced that it will close its Wisconsin casinos for at least 30 days, as well.
